Uber To Charge Customers For Lost Property


Urbans, if you’ve forgotten one of your belongings or property e.g. Phone, hat, coat, wallet or bag in a Uber, make sure you got them £££ ready to pay.

According to The Telegraph,  Uber will now be charging a flat fee of £12 ($15) for drivers to return missing items to customers. Uber drivers have been complaining for years about how annoying it is to return lost items to customers.

Drivers would go out of their way to return lost property to customers and it’s becoming a problem. Drivers are not compensated or tipped for their inconvenience and they’re not happy about it.

Uber claims by introducing a return fee, It will encourage drivers to stay and not switch from Uber to another competitor.

Basically, to avoid paying a fee to get your property back, try not to forget it.
